We would like to formally welcome back our term time children whilst also welcoming our new children to Tots & Juniors since joining us after the summer term.

Don’t forget to keep an eye our Facebook page, Do Jo and parent portal apps. This is where we share wonderful photos of what are children are learning and engaging with whilst at the setting. We also share useful information about anything you need to know.

Parent/Carer Challenge

Challenge your child’s curiosity!

At Tots&Juniors we like to involve our parents/carers.

We believe there is lots of opportunities within nature to learn. Our challenge this month is a nature walk and to share what treasures you find along the way.

Can you find different sized sticks?
What bugs can you find along the way?
How many conkers can you find?

This is a great opportunity to incorporate a book into your nature walk...

Why not take a look at the “Stick man” book.

See if you can recreate your very own stick man using the twigs and leaves you collect along the way?

We would love to see your creations, so don’t forget to send us some photographs!

2nd October - Parents and carers open evening 4-6pm

24th October - Last day of term (for term time only children)

4th November - First day of term (for term time only children)

Attention

REMEMBER..

As the weather will soon start to change into the colder weather, please can we ask children to come dressed appropriately for the weather with coats, hats, gloves and a change of clothes.

IMPORTANT... Please can we politely ask that all your child’s belongings are clearly labelled and if you have any missing belongings, please take a look at our lost property.

Please report any absences, including illness, holidays and any appointments which will affect your child’s session on our Class Do Jo App

Autumn Out Of School Newsletter

Hi All This term has been a busy one and flashed by before our eyes... not long now till Christmas! The children have enjoyed settling back into the school routine and making new friends with our new starters. We are trialling a new snack system upstairs as we felt the options of snacks for the children were not substantial enough to keep them going until home time, so we are now offering more carbs... crumpets, pancakes, toasties, etc We have seen this to be a success so far and the children are enjoying making their own snack upon arriving back from school (encouraging independence & life skills). With the darker nights now drawing in, we have new high-viz jackets for all the children and staff to wear... BE SEEN, BE SAFE on our walks back from school! The children have just finished our fun filled jammed packed Autumn/ Halloween half term, where we carved our pumpkins, baked cookies, dressed up in our spooky costumes and enjoyed apple bobbing! When leaving to go home all children took a sweet treat as tradition for treat or treating! The next holiday club activity list will be out this week for the Christmas/ New year period.
